      I am going to tell you about another beautiful place on Mahiyangana Road in Kandy. This is about the beautiful Ratna waterfall. This is located in the village of Rathna Ella in Hasalaka. This beautiful waterfall can also be seen on Mahiyangana Road in Kandy. In terms of height, this waterfall is ranked 10th in the list of tallest waterfalls in Sri Lanka.
    We went to visit the Mahiyangana Temple on a Poya day. That day we came to see Rathna ella by chance. We had never been to that waterfall before. We had to walk a few kilometers from the road to reach Ratna ella. It is beautiful and it is very difficult to go there during the rainy season.
   The tourism industry has not developed here. Also, this waterfall is not popular among the people of Sri Lanka. Therefore, the surrounding environment is not polluted.Due to time constraints, Rathna ella could not be approached. So if you come to see this we invite you to come in the morning. Although time was limited, we were very happy that day. We added a lot of memories.





     Later, while searching the internet for information about Rathna Ella, I came to know that Rathna Ella has an ancient history up to the Ravana era.
According to legends, King Ravana lived with Princess Sita in this area. It is said that King Ravana played with Sita near this waterfall. That is why occult forces are said to be active in this area.
      However, I have something to tell you. Never travel here alone. According to the villagers, this is a place of prey. So always take care of your own safety.
    
      If you are traveling on the Mahiyanganaya road in Kandy then don't forget to visit this waterfall. This is still a beautiful place that most Sri Lankans do not visit.
